Gippsland Mobile Vets is a family owned business servicing the Latrobe Valley and other areas of Gippsland. It is owned and operated by Dr Laura Thorbecke and Dr Stuart Cocking, supported by their highly skilled team of vets.

We understand that a trip to the vet is not always possible for many clients. Our aim is to provide a service which enables ALL pets to be able to have access to veterinary care from the comfort and security of their homes. Our convenient service brings a vet to your home in our custom-designed mobile clinic that is stocked with microscopes, scales, diagnostic equipment, a full pharmacy and access to pathology testing. We can help with: consultations, dental checks, arthritis injections, flea and worm preventatives, vaccinations, senior health checks, microchipping, nail clipping, home euthanasia and palliative pet care services. Gippsland Mobile Vets is the perfect solution for people who don’t have time to take their pet to a clinic, and those who have trouble travelling or do not drive themselves.

For nervous pets, a consultation at home can be a much more comfortable option, and clients can spend less time travelling and waiting, and more time with the vet! For elderly pets, or pets with mobility issues, not having to make a car trip can also be very appealing.

We currently operate with our full time Nurse, Rachael, to ensure your pet receives high standards of care during each consult, and is always handled safely and gently.

For pets also requiring surgical or hospital services: we work in conjunction with Moe Veterinary Centre to make sure you and your pet will receive continuous home and hospital care. This means you can see same vets in the clinic at Moe as you do at your home! You can rest assured knowing your pet will be in the best of hands, and can continue with follow up home care after any clinic visit required.
